Abstract
Professor Wheeler tells of his association with the viewing of the supernova from Feb. 23rd, 1987. He describes how the data received has confirmed theories about what happens when such massive stars are in their death throes, particularly about the creation of neutron stars. -- Introduction by Dr N Viswanathan. -- Recorded at Coombs Lecture Theatre, 26 August 1987.
